Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The Nebbiolo grows on the limestone and clay slopes of Barolo.
Vinification
After harvest the grapes undergo cold maceration, which gently extracts colour and aromas. Fermentation follows in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, to preserve freshness and fruit character.
Ageing
The wine is aged in stages: 2 months in stainless steel, then 24 months in French barriques, then 6 months back in stainless steel. It then matures in bottle for at least six more months. This approach brings richness and roundness without overpowering the wine's natural acidity and tannin structure.
Tasting profile
Deep aroma and a rich, rounded taste. The wine opens in layers in the glass: bright fruit comes first, with redcurrant and cherry, followed by hints of rose, resin and gentle earthiness. The finish is long and slightly grippy. A classic Barolo with a distinctive finish and a real sense of depth.
