Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from a 3.6 ha vineyard with southern and south-western exposure. The vines average between 15 and 50 years of age, growing in marl layered with clay. Organic methods are used in the vineyards.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand at full ripeness, usually in late September. They are gently pressed in a pneumatic press, then undergo 15 days of alcoholic fermentation on the skins in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures for 24 months in new oak barrels, without racking into other vessels.
Label / history
The name means “red wine from Gnemiz” in Italian. “Gnemiz” is the name of the family that lived and made wine on the property for centuries.
