Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyard occupies a south-facing hillside in Cerreto Guidi, near Florence, at 100–300 metres above sea level. Its soils are clay-rich and partly rocky.
Grapes
A blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Vinification
Following soft pressing, the varieties ferment separately in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled 23–25°C. Skin maceration lasts 10 days. Malolactic fermentation is completed before the wine enters oak.
Ageing
The wine matures for 18 months in new French oak barrels, followed by at least six months in bottle before release.
Tasting profile
Deep ruby red. The complex aromatic profile combines balsamic notes with red berries and spices. Full-bodied and structured, it has ripe tannins that create a velvety texture. Bright acidity maintains balance through the long finish.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 18°C. Pair with mushroom tagliatelle, a cut of beef, or fillet with green pepper.
