Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
Brachetto is sourced from the provinces of Asti, Cuneo and Alessandria. The aromatic indigenous Piedmontese variety is particularly associated with the area around Acqui Terme and is used for sweet red wine.
Grapes
100% Brachetto.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested selectively by hand, crushed and cold-macerated before gentle pressing. The juice is held in refrigerated tanks at 0°C, then fermented in pressurized tanks.
Ageing
The wine receives further tank refinement on its fermentation yeasts, followed by sterile filtration and bottling.
Tasting profile
Bright pink-red in colour. Fresh floral and rose aromas are joined by delicate red-fruit and raspberry notes.
Serving and pairing
Suitable as an aperitif and with pastries, ice cream, strawberry salad or fruit salad. Cellar life is 2–3 years.
Label / history
The long history of Brachetto and its relatively small cultivation area underpin the identity of this Piedmontese dessert wine.
