Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in the Maremma Toscana microzone at 100–150 m above sea level, on rich, deep soils with a good proportion of clay.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested from 10 to 30 September. Traditional vinification includes gentle maceration on the skins and malolactic fermentation at a controlled temperature.
Ageing
The wine rests briefly in small oak barrels.
