Vineyard and terroir
San Lorenzo Heritage Red comes from San Lorenzo Vineyard at the southernmost tip of Alexander Valley. Four generations of the Passalacqua and Seghesio families have tended the site. The vineyard was planted in or before 1892 and contains some of Sonoma County’s oldest vines, rooted in a shallow bench of alluvial soil.
Grapes
A traditional field blend of Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and a small portion of mixed red varieties. Exact proportions are not specified.
Technical data

Tasting profile
Intense ripe-blackberry and black-cherry aromas are layered with spice-box and dark-chocolate notes. Warmer Christmas-spice nuances lead into vibrant, lush fruit and a structured mid-palate. The wine is expected to gain further complexity as it matures.

Pair with a well-marbled ribeye or filet.
