Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
Vermentino grows at the estate-owned Keyhole Ranch Vineyard in the northern Russian River Valley. Cool coastal breezes and frequent fog on summer mornings temper the microclimate, while the vines grow in gravel and clay loams.
Grapes
100% Vermentino.
Vinification
The grapes were handpicked at night to preserve vibrant flavors. Multiple picking dates within the single vineyard provided fruit at different stages of maturity, allowing the finished wine to combine several flavor profiles. Whole clusters underwent a long, slow, low-pressure extraction in a pneumatic bladder press. Fifteen percent was fermented and aged in concrete egg, while 85% was fermented in stainless-steel tank and racked off its heavy lees after three months. Lees contact added textural complexity while maintaining fresh fruit and varietal expression.
Technical data
2025: 13% alcohol.

White peach and lemon curd aromas carry directly onto the palate. Juicy nectarine and ripe pear add layered stone-fruit character and textural detail. Mouthwatering acidity supplies energy and precision through the finish.
