Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown in vineyards in the Castiglione Falletto area, on clay-limestone soils.
Vinification
After destemming and crushing, the grapes ferment in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with maceration lasting 1–2 months. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation follows at 20 °C for 2–4 months.
Ageing
The wine ages for 24 months in Slavonian oak barrels, followed by 4–6 months in stainless steel tanks and at least 6 months in bottle.
Tasting profile
The aroma is inviting. The palate is elegant, warm, powerful and balanced, with a silky texture and rich flavour.
Serving and pairing
Decant before serving and allow the aromas and flavours time to open in the glass.
