Vineyard and terroir
The Merlot is sourced from hillside and level vineyards in Friuli Colli Orientali, ranging from 100 to 150 metres above sea level. The soils are marl and sandstone. Plantings span 1968 to 2005, with approximately 4,000 vines per hectare trained to Guyot.

100% Merlot.
Tasting profile
Ruby red. Intense violet and red-fruit aromas lead to a soft, full-bodied palate with persistent flavour.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 14–16 °C. Pair with flavourful first courses, red or white meats, rich sauces and cured sausages.
