Vineyard and terroir
Produced from La Cerretella’s vineyards in Bolgheri. Two hectares of the four-hectare coastal estate are dedicated to Bolgheri wines. Mediterranean conditions and breezes from the nearby Tyrrhenian Sea shape the vineyard setting.
Grapes
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sangiovese.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures for six to eight months in large oak casks.
Tasting profile
Intense red, with red-fruit aromas complemented by spicy and balsamic nuances. The palate is soft, full and balanced, with sweet, velvety tannins.
The published review of the 2021 vintage describes roasted spices, berries, hibiscus and currants, together with a saline shellfish-like nuance. It is medium-bodied and crisp, with fresh tannins and a clean, elegant finish.
