Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in the 80-hectare Winkl vineyard in Terlano, at 300–500 metres above sea level.
Vinification
For the 2012 vintage, the grapes were harvested on 23 August. Fermentation took place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine aged on its lees for six months.
Vintage notes
A dry winter and spring resulted in a smaller-than-expected 2012 crop.
