Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards are in Colli Orientali del Friuli in northeastern Italy, on predominantly sandy soils with some gravel.
Vinification
Fully ripe bunches are harvested from early to mid-September. The grapes are gently destemmed and pneumatically pressed. The must is cooled to 10–12 °C, clarified to remove sediment and fermented.
Ageing
The wine matures for six months in stainless-steel tanks, followed by 2–4 months in bottle.
Tasting profile
Delicate floral aromas accompany notes of ripe fruit. The finish has a pleasant bitter edge.
Serving and pairing
Serve chilled at 8–10 °C with light appetisers, salads or seafood.
