Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown in Puglia in limestone and clay soils. The region has a hot Mediterranean climate, with abundant sunshine and cooling sea breezes. The vineyards are managed according to sustainable farming principles.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and vinified by traditional red-wine methods combined with modern technology. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature and is stopped before completion to preserve residual sugar.

Label / history
Winegrowing in Puglia has ancient roots. According to legend, the Greek hero Diomedes brought vines with him after the Trojan War and planted them in the region. Their cultivation was said to have given rise to Nero di Troia, with the vineyards subsequently known as the “Fields of Diomedes.”
