Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the estate's production area in Greve in Chianti, where the soils are predominantly limestone. The crop level is 55 quintals per hectare, and harvesting is carried out by hand.
Grapes
A blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, created through the estate's research and experimentation. The first vintage was produced in 1982.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place at controlled temperature in small 50 hl lots. Maceration lasts for up to 20 days, accompanied by frequent pump-overs and punch-downs.
Ageing
The wine matures for a minimum of 18 months in Château-type barriques, divided between 75% Allier and 25% Vosges oak. This is followed by at least 6 months in large barrels and a further minimum of 6 months in bottle.

Alcohol: 14.00% vol. Average annual production: 15,000 bottles. Formats: 375 ml, 750 ml and 1.5 L.
Tasting profile
Ruby red with pronounced purple reflections. The broad, intense aroma combines small red fruits and dark woodland berries with vanilla and oak. The palate is elegant and enveloping, with soft, silky tannins and persistent notes of vanilla and chocolate.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 18–20 °C with game, game-based main courses, wild boar or roasted meats.
