Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit is sourced from different vineyards in the Barolo and Barbaresco areas.
Grapes
The grapes are selected from several vineyard sites.
Vinification
Fruit from each vineyard is vinified separately. The wine undergoes alcoholic and malolactic fermentation before the individual lots are aged separately.
Ageing
The wine spends approximately 18–20 months in oak barriques and large casks, followed by a final period of harmonization in stainless-steel tanks. The source also states that it receives at least two years in oak barrels.
Tasting profile
Powerful, intense and bold, the wine combines muscular structure with refinement and an enveloping character that becomes more evident as it ages. Its tannins and acidity are well balanced, and the profile is complex and polished.
Serving and pairing
Pair with red meat, aged cheeses or hearty stews.
Label / history
Gianni Gallo created the dandelion label, basing its design on emotion and subtle associations. The Italian expression “Perbacco” may be translated as “Why, yes!”, “Of course!” or “Damn!”
