Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in the Custoza area, southeast of Lake Garda. The landscape was shaped by retreating glaciers: flat land near the lake gives way to low hills 50 to 100 metres high. The glacial soils are mainly limestone and clay, with stones and sand also found on the hills. Lake Garda softens the climate, and warmth-loving olive and cypress trees often stand beside the vineyards. Custoza is especially well suited to white winemaking, and around ten white grape varieties are traditionally grown here.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand. Winemaking begins with cold maceration, followed by gentle pressing. The must ferments at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine is aged in the same stainless steel tanks until bottling.
Tasting profile
A delicate, layered taste with an intense fruity aroma.
