About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The vineyards are in Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the province of Siena, at 450 m above sea level. They have a south-eastern exposure and stony, well-drained soils.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness, sorted by hand, destemmed and crushed. Fermentation takes place in cone-shaped vats at a controlled 27 °C for 7–10 days, followed by 10 days of post-fermentation maceration.

Ageing

The wine spends 15 months in new barriques, followed by 15 months in large French oak casks and a further 12 months in bottle in the winery’s cellars.

Tasting profile

Elegant.
