About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from Credazzo, a hilly area in the municipality of Farra di Soligo, Veneto. The vineyards stand at 350–400 m on steep slopes facing south and southeast, with clay and limestone soils.
Vinification
Harvest normally takes place between 20 September and 10 October. After gentle pressing, the juice ferments with selected yeast cultures at a controlled temperature of 17–19 °C. Secondary fermentation follows the Metodo Italiano, or Charmat method, in pressurized steel tanks at 15–17 °C. The wine is cold-stabilized and filtered before bottling to remove the yeast sediment.
Ageing
The wine rests on its fine lees in stainless-steel tanks for three months.
Tasting profile
Delicate aromas lead to an elegant palate.
Label / history
The name Col Credas derives from Credazzo. The wine received a gold medal from Vinibuoni d’Italia in 2014.
