About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from selected vineyards around Magrè and Salorno in the southern part of Alto Adige, at elevations of 230–420 m. The soils are rocky and sandy with a significant limestone component. Pinot Grigio—also known as Grauburgunder or Pinot Gris—is widely cultivated in Alto Adige.

Grapes

Pinot Grigio.

Vinification

Temperature-controlled fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks. A small component is fermented in contact with stems and skins. This use of skin- and whole-grape-fermented components is intended to build texture while complementing the wine’s freshness.

Ageing

Approximately four months on lees in stainless steel.

Technical data

The 2024 vintage has 12% alcohol by volume.

Tasting profile

Brilliant, clear straw yellow with a reddish glint. The bouquet is delicate but pronounced, combining peach and melon with exotic spice and mineral notes. Medium-bodied and fairly rich, with fruity and spicy flavors, freshness and a dry finish.

Serving and pairing

Pair with fish or meat starters, pâtés and terrines, fish, shellfish, poultry, white meats and mushrooms. Best enjoyed within one to two years.
