About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from organically farmed vineyards in the Oriolo dei Fichi area near Faenza, at approximately 150 metres above sea level. The soils are sandy clay with patches of silt.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand from the final days of August through the first weeks of September. At the winery, they are destemmed and gently pressed, with each variety handled separately, then undergo a long maceration on the skins. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks without temperature control.
Ageing
The wine spends three months on its fine lees. It is then racked and aged further in concrete tanks, where it clarifies naturally and develops its structure. After bottling, it rests for at least another two months.
Tasting profile
Refreshing, harmonious and balanced.
Label / history
The label reproduces a lithograph by local artist Giuseppe Ugonia depicting swallows flying south for winter and returning to the same place in spring. Their journey inspired the name “Andataeritorno,” meaning “There and Back.”
