About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from an organic vineyard in the Oriolo dei Fichi area near Faenza, about 150 metres above sea level. The soils are clay and limestone, and the vines average 36 years of age.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness, then destemmed and gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks without temperature control, followed by malolactic fermentation for about two months in concrete tanks. The wine is bottled without filtration.

Ageing

The wine ages on its fine lees in concrete tanks for 16 months, followed by at least three months in bottle in the winery’s cellars.

Tasting profile

Elegant.
