About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vines grow on ancient alluvial terraces in northern Piedmont. The soils are clay-rich and rocky, with abundant minerals and distinctive marine deposits. The land is worked using only organic methods, which lets the terroir give the wine a deep mineral character and freshness.
Grapes
A classic blend of Nebbiolo and Vespolina. The text gives no proportions.
Vinification
The grapes are selected in the vineyard and harvested gently by hand in the first half of October. Vinification is traditional, in large cement tanks with natural temperature control. Regular pump-overs extract as much colour and tannin as possible.
Ageing
The wine ages for two years in the same cement tanks.
Tasting profile
Elegant, deep, refined and distinctive, with a deep mineral character and unmistakable freshness.
Label / history
Production is limited to around 6000 bottles a year.
