About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from 30-year-old vines in the Monferrato hills, in the southern part of the province of Asti. The soils are clay and limestone, and the grapes are harvested entirely by hand.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 25–30 °C for 16–19 days, followed by malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months, with 60% aged in French oak barrels and 40% in Slavonian oak barrels. It then rests in bottle for a further four months before release.
Tasting profile
Generous and inviting.
Serving and pairing
Pair with cold appetisers, a variety of cheeses, or pasta with meat sauce.
