About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the restored vineyards of the Il Cascinone estate in the Monferrato hills. Its warm, southwest-facing slopes are reserved for Barbera, and the wine combines grapes from vines of different ages. After Araldica purchased the estate in 1999, about 60 ha of its 102 ha of vineyards were replanted over 15 years. The restored vineyards produce generous harvests.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months in French oak barriques, 10–15% of which are new.

Modern, bold and generous, with abundant fruit notes and lively acidity on the palate.
