About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Primitivo fruit is grown in Puglia in southern Italy.

Ripe grapes are harvested by hand in early September. The must ferments for 10 days at a controlled 28–30 °C, with daily pumping over.

Ageing

The wine matures in large oak barrels for six months.

Tasting profile

The nose is fruity. The palate is rich and elegant.

Label / history

The wine received a bronze medal at the 2017 IWSC. Production is overseen by Claudio Manera of Araldica Castelvero and Lella Burdese of Boutinot’s Italian division, from grape selection through vinification, maturation, blending and bottling.
