About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
Both varieties grow in east-facing vineyards at 500 m above sea level, on clay-limestone soils. The vines are 10–30 years old. The estate owns 8 ha of vineyards in hilly terrain at 500–600 m; these vineyards were planted 30 years ago and are trained using the Guyot system.
Grapes
Greco makes up the majority of the blend, with a small proportion of Coda di Volpe.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in early October and gently pressed. The must ferments in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures for seven months in stainless steel, followed by one to two months in bottle.

Benito Ferrara was founded in 1880 and initially concentrated solely on growing grapes before developing into a winery.
