About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The estate's vineyards lie in Castellina in Chianti, surrounded by olive groves. They cover 37 ha of hillside at 270–310 metres above sea level, with south-western and north-eastern exposures and a particularly favourable microclimate. The soils are a mix of pale blue clay from the Pliocene era, deep, shaly Alberese clay and limestone. The vines are young. The wine is organic.
Grapes
The blend is made of native varieties: Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Malvasia Nera and Ciliegiolo.
Vinification
The grapes are usually harvested by hand in early September. They are selected by hand at the winery and fermented at a controlled temperature in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine rests for 12 months in steel tanks, which preserves the freshness and bright varietal character of the grapes.
Tasting profile
Fresh and summery, with remarkable freshness and an easy-drinking style.
