About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards cover around 2 ha at 180 m above sea level, with a northeastern exposure and a planting density of 3,600 vines/ha.
Grapes
Ribona is a rare native grape, also known as Maceratino, grown almost exclusively in the province of Macerata.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in early September. Whole berries are gently pressed and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks for 12 days. Further whole berries are then added to the must, initiating a second fermentation known as fare le grane, which lasts 10 days.
Serving and pairing
Pairs with traditional and creative Mediterranean fish dishes.
