Vineyard and terroir
The Negroamaro grapes grow in a warm climate strongly influenced by African winds, which significantly increase summer temperatures.
Vinification
After harvest, the grapes are destemmed and macerated on their skins. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature for 15–20 days, followed by malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine ages for 12 months in a stainless-steel tank.
Label / history
The Borgo del Mandorlo range pays tribute to Puglia’s ancient origins and history. Its name and concept were inspired by a local landmark: an almond tree growing almost entirely among rocks at the entrance to a cave, noted for its resilience.
