About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow on a hillside near the town of Radda in Tuscany.
Vinification
After harvest, the grapes undergo a short maceration, followed by fermentation in stainless-steel tanks at 18–20 °C for 8–10 days.
Ageing
The wine ages for 11 months in oak barrels, 67% French and 33% American.
Label / history
The wine takes its name from Piazza del Castello, an old square directly beneath the castle tower.
