About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The vineyards lie a few kilometres from the border between Verona and Brescia, in the heart of the Lugana region. Sirmione’s microclimate is shaped by its proximity to the southern shore of Lake Grada. The limestone and clay soils impart a bright mineral quality to the wine’s aromas and flavours.

Grapes

Trebbiano di Lugana forms most of the blend, with Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Chardonnay contributes softness, Trebbiano finesse and Sauvignon Blanc a fragrant character.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested as late as possible to develop Sauvignon Blanc’s full aromatic character, then fermented in stainless-steel tanks. The Chardonnay and Trebbiano undergo maceration in oak vats.

Ageing

The Chardonnay and Trebbiano are aged for one year in oak barrels.

Tasting profile

Harmonious, rich, fresh and fruity, with fragrant aromas, bright minerality and a fine balance between acidity and gentle sweetness.
