About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Barbera grapes come from several vineyards and are blended.

Vinification

Harvest takes place in early October. The must ferments on the skins in stainless steel tanks for 7–10 days. Malolactic fermentation follows.

Ageing

The wine ages for 12 months in oak barrels, where it develops spicy notes and its tannins become softer and rounder. A further three months in bottle lets structure and bouquet settle into harmony.

Tasting profile

Refined, with spicy notes and softened, rounded tannins.

Serving and pairing

Suited to Italian food.

Vintage notes

The 2024 vintage is described as layered and elegant.

Label / history

The wine is dedicated to the granddaughter of the winery's founder, known affectionately as "Paolina". Paola is now a professional oenologist.
