About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from old vines cultivated at Asili since 1957. The site has a south-west exposure and bluish limestone-marl soils.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested from late September to early October. After destemming, they ferment on the skins for 60 days in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats, with regular punch-downs.

Ageing

The wine ages for at least 24 months in large Slavonian oak casks and previously used French oak barrels, followed by around six months in bottle in the winery’s cellars.

Tasting profile

The 2023 vintage combines ripe, juicy fruit with energy, gentle alcoholic warmth and refined spice. Its aromas and flavours are balanced and harmonious.
