About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vines grow in Lugana on white clay soil. The clay drains well and supplies the grapes with minerals, which give the finished wine freshness and structure.
Grapes
The grape is Turbiana, as named in the text.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand, which keeps the berries intact and allows only the finest fruit to be selected. The bunches are pressed gently to give a clean, aromatic must. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. A stable temperature preserves the bright aromas and lets the development of the flavours be managed carefully.
Ageing
The wine rests briefly in the same stainless-steel tanks. This stabilises its structure while keeping as much freshness as possible.
Tasting profile
Fresh and lively, with a clear sense of place. Freshness and minerality mark the wine, and a gentle bitterness comes on the finish.
Vintage notes
The 2024 vintage is expected to reach peak maturity between 2025 and 2029.
