About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The vineyards lie at high elevation in Bibbona, on the border with Bolgheri. The fruit comes from selected plots with clay and conglomerate soils. Good ventilation and slower ripening help preserve natural acidity and aromatic freshness.

Vinification

Harvesting takes place during the coolest hours of the day. The grapes are selected on sorting tables, then fermented and macerated in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks for three to four weeks, with the temperature kept at or below 28 °C. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation occurs partly in barriques and partly in stainless steel.

Ageing

The wine matures for 15 months in selected French oak barriques, which contribute complexity and structure.

Tasting profile

Refined and complex, with an elegant character and persistent structure.

Vintage notes

The summer of 2022 was especially hot, requiring careful monitoring of harvest dates. Close attention to timing preserved the wine’s balance, resulting in an elegant structure and a rich, complex aroma.
