About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the "San Giovanni" vineyard, on a gentle hillside in Bibbona, near the coast of Tuscany's Alta Maremma. Sea breezes keep the vineyard well ventilated and create a marked difference between daytime and nighttime temperatures, which preserves freshness and allows the grapes to develop complexity.
Vinification
The grapes are picked in the early morning, in late August and early September. After careful sorting and destemming they undergo a short maceration before pressing. The juice ferments in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine ages for five months in stainless steel vats.
Vintage notes
The 2022 vintage won a silver medal at The Global Masters competition in 2023.
Label / history
"Sof" is a rosé from Campo di Sasso, created in 2015 by Sofia Antinori, daughter of Marquis Lodovico Antinori. The bottle is shaped like an amphora, has a satin finish made with glass powder, and carries Sofia Antinori's signature, Sof, embossed on the glass. Production is limited to 12,000 bottles a year.
