About this wine

Grapes

Garganega, Trebbiano and Chardonnay.

Tasting profile

Straw yellow. The bouquet is floral, intense and delicate. The palate is dry and medium-bodied, with a slightly bitter character and a distinctive dried-fruit note.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 10–12 °C with starters or fish dishes; it may also be served as an aperitif.

Label / history

One account links the name Soave to the Svevi, or Suavi, a people who attempted to conquer Italy during the medieval period. Another tradition attributes the town's name to Dante and connects it with the pleasing character of its wine.
