About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
Albóri di Làmpata is made from rigorously selected grapes grown in estate-owned vineyards facing the mistral. The vines are trained using the spurred-cordon system, and the reported yield is 45–50 quintals per hectare.
Grapes
100% Syrah. The first vintage was produced in 2009, under the IGT Isola dei Nuraghi designation.
Vinification
Harvest takes place between late September and early October. Fermentation and maceration are conducted in stainless-steel tanks for three weeks.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months before bottling. It is released in a very small quantity and has high ageing potential.
Tasting profile
Deep red with violet reflections. The nose combines black-skinned fruit, blackberry, sour cherry, liquorice and violet with notes of black pepper. The palate has pronounced aromatic complexity, developing balsamic nuances of myrtle and Mediterranean scrub alongside jam, coffee, leather and date.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 15–16 °C.
Label / history
The name means “June dawn.” The wine is presented as an enveloping, complex and elegant interpretation of Syrah.
