About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Vermentino comes from estate-owned vineyards trained to simple Guyot. The reported yield is 60–70 quintals per hectare.

Grapes

100% Vermentino. Vign’angena was first produced in 1994 and is classified as DOCG Vermentino di Gallura Superiore.

Vinification

Harvest takes place between late August and early September. Fermentation is carried out exclusively in stainless-steel tanks.

Ageing

The wine matures in stainless steel and has medium-to-high ageing potential.

Tasting profile

Clear, pale straw yellow with subtle green reflections. The intense nose combines orange blossom, iris, broom and hawthorn with yellow apple and mineral nuances. Fresh, lively, full-bodied and fragrant on the palate, it finishes with fine, persistent minerality.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 8–10 °C.

Label / history

In the Gallurese dialect, Vign’angena means “other people’s vineyard.” The name recalls the wine’s earliest years, when estate-grown grapes were used while newly planted vineyards were still reaching maturity.
