About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from Carpineto’s vineyards in Tuscany’s historic wine region, in the Chianti Classico area between Florence and Siena.

Grapes

Alongside Sangiovese, the blend includes Canaiolo.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness. Following traditional dry-red vinification, the wine undergoes a short maceration and ferments in temperature-controlled vats.

Ageing

The wine matures for 12 months in oak barrels before being transferred to stainless-steel or enamel-lined cement tanks. It then rests in bottle for a further 4–6 months.
