About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from Carpineto’s vineyards in the historic area of Montepulciano, Siena, at approximately 250 m above sea level. The soils are predominantly sandy, well drained and alluvial in origin.

Grapes

The blend comprises Sangiovese and Canaiolo.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and undergo a short maceration. Fermentation lasts 10–12 days at a controlled temperature of 25–30 °C. After malolactic fermentation, usually completed in late spring, the wine is bottled.

Tasting profile

Young and fruity.

Serving and pairing
