About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The estate’s vineyards occupy low hills in the Maremma area. Their sandy clay soils are derived from ancient marine deposits and are rich in limestone. The Mediterranean climate provides abundant sunshine, hot summers and little rainfall.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness, placed in small crates and immediately transported in refrigerated trucks to the cool cellars in Greve. After destemming and crushing, the must undergoes a brief cold maceration to extract delicate aromas. Fermentation takes place at low temperatures with selected yeasts. The wine is then filtered and bottled in January to preserve its freshness, without chemical fining or stabilization treatments.
