History
Before 2000
Claudio Cepolina, Italian, worked as a shipping broker and was co-owner of a small chocolate factory.
2000
Claudio and his American wife, Sarah Wallace, decided to change their lives and pursue something they both loved: winemaking.
2001
The couple bought an old villa in Monferrato with 6.2 hectares of vineyards.
Since 2001
Claudio and Sarah have devoted themselves entirely to growing biodynamic grapes and making natural wines. Having had to learn everything from scratch, they chose to let nature take its course and keep intervention in the winery to a minimum.
Terroir
The estate's vineyards lie on hills 270 metres above sea level, near the border between Piedmont and Liguria.
Winemaking
The vineyards are farmed biodynamically. The owners work in tune with nature and follow the influence of the sun, moon, stars, and planets, letting nature take its course rather than intervening heavily.
Winemaking follows a natural approach, with intervention in the winery kept to a minimum. The owners aim for pure wines that reflect their terroir. Annual production does not exceed 25 thousand bottles.
