About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards are situated on the hillsides around Egna, where the vines grow in loamy alluvial soils.
Grapes
Lagrein is native to Alto Adige and, according to the source, is grown only there.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested and destemmed, then fermented with their skins at 26–28 °C for 10 days. Regular stirring maintains continuous contact between the juice and skins, deepening colour and intensifying aromas and flavours.
Ageing
The wine matures in oak barrels for exactly 10 months before bottling.
Tasting profile
The aroma is marked by violets and wild berries. The palate is smooth and harmonious, with gentle tannins.
Serving and pairing
It pairs with red meat, grilled dishes and rich, hearty appetisers.
