About this wine

Ageing

The wine is aged in oak barrels for at least 9 months. The oak gives the palate greater depth, softens the tannins and adds spicy, lightly woody notes.

Tasting profile

A dry red with more complexity and depth than basic Chianti, a noticeable structure and the character of an aged wine. Spicy and lightly woody notes come from the oak.

Serving and pairing

Made for the table, especially with meat dishes, rich sauces and hearty, warming food.

Label / history

Montefiore is a brand that brings together three producers: Gerardo Cesari, Castellani and Decordi. Each specialises exclusively in wines from its own region.
