The vineyard is located in the Montalcino area.
Vinification
Fermentation lasts 8–12 days at 24–26 °C, with the temperature rising to 30 °C during the final three days. Malolactic fermentation then takes place in French barriques. The cuvée is unfiltered.
Label / history
Belnero has been produced for more than 30 years. Over that period, its vineyard location, grape composition, vinification methods and equipment were changed and refined. The winery in which it is now made was built and equipped 11 years before the source description was written. Its name refers to the wine’s dark colour.
