About this wine

Grapes

Traditional Chianti varieties with a strong predominance of Sangiovese.

Vinification

For the 2024 vintage, fermentation takes place in stainless-steel vats at a controlled temperature of 20–30°C with selected yeasts. Earlier published vintages generally specify 25–30°C, while 2023 also gives the broader 20–30°C range and selected yeasts.

Ageing

Maturation begins in stainless-steel vats and is followed by a brief passage in wood.

Technical data

The 2024 vintage has 13% alcohol and is available in a 0.75 L format.

Tasting profile

Ruby red and balanced, with fresh fruit aromas. The palate has a soft structure supported by good acidity, followed by a rich, persistent finish.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 16–18°C. Pair with white meats, cured meats and cheeses.

Vintage notes

A mild winter and exceptionally warm April brought budding forward in 2024. Cool, rainy May and June were followed by very hot July and August conditions that slowed photosynthesis and delayed ripening. Temperatures dropped below average in early September as frequent rain returned. The vintage produced fresher, less alcoholic and less concentrated wines with unexpectedly graceful tannins.
