About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown in Tuscany on land that formed part of a seabed four million years ago; ancient fossils can still be found between the vine rows.
Vinification
The ripe grapes are harvested by hand and gently pressed using a semi-reductive technique, with little or no exposure to oxygen. The must undergoes cold static settling for 24 hours, followed by fermentation at 16–18 °C to preserve its varietal aromas. The wine remains in temperature-controlled tanks until January or February of the following year.
Tasting profile
Expressive and approachable.
Label / history
The wine belongs to the “Leonardo da Vinci” collection, whose labels feature the Vitruvian Man, Leonardo da Vinci’s best-known drawing. The 2020 vintage received a bronze medal at the 2021 International Wine Challenge.
