About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes are grown in the estate's vineyards in the Veneto region.

Vinification

The wine is made by the traditional Ripasso method, with vinification lasting 15–18 days. The harvest was late and lasted 15 days.

Ageing

The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks. After the final racking in February and March and the completion of malolactic fermentation, it is aged a further 2.5 years to develop balance and roundness. After bottling it spends additional time ageing in the winery's cellars.

Tasting profile

A rich wine, with balance and roundness developed through ageing.

Vintage notes

The autumn was mild and rainy, followed by a winter with substantial rainfall and snow. February and March were quite warm, and spring brought heavy rain and occasional hail. Frost arrived in early April but caused no significant damage. The summer was hot and ended in a late harvest.
