About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyard is a historic cru long owned by the Ceste family. It lies on the south-facing slope of Govone hill, overlooking the Tanaro River. The hill is topped by the Castello di Govone, built in 986 and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Vinification
Fully ripe grapes are harvested by hand during the first ten days of October. After a short cooling period, the wine undergoes alcoholic and malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine rests for six months in stainless-steel tanks.
Tasting profile
It has an intense aroma and a rich flavour, with a strong, confident character.
